Up and Coming Author: Christine Turner Jackson
Pitch Black is Christine's big debut. What began as an interest about her father's childhood and ultimate love for baseball blossomed into this captivating children's book. She's currently working on her untitled second work, which is bound continue her excellence in storytelling. Look for more creative juices to flow from this children's literature extraordinaire!
Christine earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from The George Washington University. After teaching elementary science in Maryland, she began her 25-year career with the U.S. Department of Education. A native Washingtonian, she is intrigued with the untold stories of the African American community that lived in the city during the 1950's and 1960's. Many talented people sprouted and blossomed from seeds planted in the fertile ground of early DC. Her aspiration is to share historical fiction with generations to come.
Married to her high school sweetheart, Tim Jackson, they have 2 young adult children, Tim II and Monet.
